I mean seriously, some people are just HORRIBLE!

Today mid-work one of my collegues was like "Are you scared of bats?" and of course I was like "No, why?" and then it happened...

I saw a tiny little bat, on the ground in the sunlight, with my collegues around it being frightened from the poor defenseless thing...and what did they want me to do? KILL IT

...

Kill an innocent little creature...just because they are scared of it....pathetic is not even a good enough word...

So catching it, I took it to a good shadowy place until the end of workday, so I can let it go into the shadows (afternoon shift means ending work at nighttime). It didn't want to go...nor could it...that's when me and a few others realised it wasn't a small grown bat, it was still a young one...

I took it home, I couldn't leave it there...(just like I couldn't bare the idea of killing it, especially now, seeing how the family just abandoned it...we tried searching for the rest, but nothing, no signs of any bats whatsoever...the only clue I ever had, was the bat I saw last night, ironic, especially since bats never went that way before)

That little fellow was like a child...not wanting to let go ever, constantly following my voice, whenever it went the opposite direction, the moment it heard my voice it turned around and crawled toward me instead...as energetic as it was, when in my palm, it was as calm almost as if it were sleeping...watching me innocently as I watched it

But it didn't last long, it wanted to fly away after the clock hit midnight....as young as it was, it kept trying to take off with jumping into the air, and opening it's wings, but couldn't...so I took it out, to the outdoor, but this time it didn't want to let go again

It was a smart little bat, while I kept him in one place, a big bug came around, almost curiously watching the bat, but the bat saw the bug was too big, so it ignored it. One would say it was because it didnt develop hunger for bugs yet, but it kept following tiny bugs, so it was more like 'that's too big for now, maybe later'

After giving up on waiting for it to try and take off, I started trying different methods to get him to open his wings again, and I realized that this time, it was only willing to open the wings if it hung upside down, so carefully I let him hang from my fingers (still didnt want to let go of me, the cute one) and opening its wings, it started off by simply gliding through the air lazily to get to the ground quickly, crawling around curiously until I said something, then it was 'follow my voice' game again.

Then again.
And again.

Each time, it started flapping its wings...faster and faster...until it managed to not only land from a glide, but fly a little bit first....

So I gave him a last try, I moved with him to an area without trees around us that could hinder it, and raised it up again.

Once again, it took into gliding, but this time managed to flap fast enough to resemble flight! And even turned mid-flight! But turned into the shadows, not to be seen again...no squeeks, no crawls, just the wind in the night...

It was a smart little bat...and a cute one...may the night guide it's path
