Just a short introduction to a game in the making

It was a gloomy night...rain battered against my glass panes that made up my cracked window
I always lived alone since I was little, father was a army officer, mother was a nurse...
Yet...I was different, they tried forcing me to follow in their footsteps, but in the end, I chose not to
Now I live alone, with my dog.

Hex loves to sleep on my laps, usually when I'm away from home he rests on the sofa next to the window
Sometimes even while I just lazy around on bed. He knows I'm awake and he won't bother trying to lay on my laps,
he knows I see him across my room from bed

Tonight I was preparing to go to bed, I turned the lights off, and petted Hex who was resting on the couch before going to bed...
I finally covered myself in my blankets, soon enough drifting into a deep slumber.

I woke up in the middle of the night to a familiar weight passing onto my laps
I smiled, I knew my dog was ready to sleep on bed with me, he missed me all day long.

But as I prepared to pet his head, my slightly opened eyes spotted him...
Hex was still lazying around, on the sofa across the room...

Before I knew it, three words echoed silently in my room
'GO TO SLEEP'
